Cudeman 200 Orange G10
Its always useful to carry a compact knife in the Bush, a great many camp tasks only require a small blade and these compact knives are easy to access, light to carry, capable and, lets be honest, plain interesting tools to own and use.
Cudeman have just come up with the new Model 200, its a compact curve handle knife that weighs just 69g, its a three finger hold for most people and that is pretty much enough for good push cuts. As well and being easily manipulated for intricate work, the full tang, solid slabs and pins give it a robust construction and therefore a solid feel.
The steel is Bohler N695 an excellent and tough stainless and at 60HRC it has very good edge holding. The straight blade has a sabre grind and with a secondary bevel of approx 20deg will work well in most pull through sharpeners and be easily sharpened on a DC4 or other flat stone.
Great knife for Whittling, Camp work, Bird and Trout, Woodwork, and as a companion on short hikes or a compact survival kit addition.
Made in Spain. Comes with leather sheath, see images for details.
