Seeland Taiga Jacket
Quality insulated Winter Hunting and Outdoor jacket from Seeland, Denmark. Lots of great features and a great jacket for the Winter with the new 250g Micro Fiber Insulation and a WindBeater membrane.
Fleece lined handwarmer pockets, Radio Pocket, two large Front Pockets, Inside pocket, Removeable hood, high Collar, Quick load straps, two way zips, Press studs, adjustable hem, Storm Cuffs with thumbholes and much more.
The Taiga is Seeland’s absolute warmest hunting jacket. The Taiga is the pine forest that covers much of Siberia. And it is from the coldest parts of Siberia that we drew our inspiration when designing this ultrawarm jacket, which can withstand the very coldest, icy weather, especially when you are stand-hunting and have to sit tight for hours at a time awaiting your perfect shot, or when you are travelling around by snowmobile.
The jacket is waterproof and has a WindBeater membrane, in addition to 250 gram wadding, which is the thickest available. It also features microfleece inside the jacket and the hood to retain warmth. Polyester lining in the sleeves makes arm insertion easy. The jacket features the groundbreaking ThinsulateTM technology, which uses an insulating membrane consisting of fine microfibres that work together to retain warm air molecules.
Once the body has warmed up, the Thinsulate helps maintain the temperature, while allowing any moisture to wick through its outer membrane. The jacket has a removable hood and the hood collar is higher than normal, so the wearer can be fully enclosed by the jacket and keep the cold out when necessary. Areas of the jacket most subject to wear are reinforced for extra robustness.
The lower part of the jacket is made from Oxford nylon, which is water-repellent. It also has a number of handy pockets: a radio pocket, a fleece-lined handwarmer, an inside pocket and two large front pockets with quick load straps and a pocket behind the front pockets, typically used to rest your shooting arm in.
Other features include a two-way zip and press studs, adjustable hood, wrists and hem, and soft storm-cuffs, with thumbholes, to block out the wind. Combined with the Taiga trousers and mittens, you have an exceedingly insulating hunting suit, suitable for both rifle and shotgun use, even when the temperature is well below freezing.
Colour is olive
