The Natural Navigator, by Tristan Gooley.
I have spoken to Tristan several times, he's a great guy and his books are superb. The ancient skills of navigating by Natural sign, skills lost to the modern man, are refound in this book and there to be learned anew. A must for anyone interested in bushcraft and survival, I highly reccommend this book. (Its taken along, long time to get these books into Canada....but its worth it!)
Now in paperbackand with 20 new illustrationsthe guide Science News hailed as a great primer on how the forces of nature affect the landscapesBefore GPS, before the compass, and even before cartography, humankind was navigating.
