The second design from Council Tool USA in their Woodcraft line, this is the new Camp Carver. Based in large part on older time tested designs, it blends North European and Norther American, being based on 'Riggers Axes' and the 'long Beards' of Scandinavia!

The flat ground blade (25-28 deg) is great to sharpen and cuts with a force, the 'long Beard' edge adding to the Wood bite~ the whole blade can be controlled with a fine adjustment because of the choil and this makes it a great Axe for Woodwork as well as Hunting, Camp and Bushcraft use.

The Steel is the 5160, a great High Carbon Steel known for its toughness and edge holding and the 26oz head is nicely balanced with a 90deg spine and Double Pinned (Wood and Metal) Haft.

All made in the USA, the handle is Premium Hickory and also patterned after a vintage design.
