Brand New for Oxhead, the 800 is an All Purpose Cutting Axe.

 

The 800 is an Axe for the Bushcraft Camp, offering a wide range of capability's with the Minimum of size and weight.

 

With an overall length of 27.5" it's portable but with enough length for strong, swift cuts. The tried and tested Yankee head shape now has a thinner profile to allow for extra penetration and with a Head weight of 1.75lbs, it balances inertia and Packability!

 

The handle is select hickory and the head is Wood and (Double) Metal Wedged. The Axe comes with a leather Edge Cover.

 

 

Oxhead is Germany's oldest Axe maker and has been making Forestry tools since 1781. Over the preceeding 250 years its honed its maufacture and designs to optimal standards and they are now regarded as one of the best European Makers.

 

The tough C60 Steel is high polish and the Bearded Blades are convex. The Head rings 'True'!
